I am a fashion designer. I run a boutique. Due to COVID 19, my boutique was closed for the last few months, but I still wanted to sell the apparel without a physical store. The closing of my boutique caused me a huge loss. And during that time, when I was worried about my business, I came to know about eCommerce, by which I was able to Sell Apparels Online.
As the world is moving forward in terms of technology, I wanted to move forward. I found out that eCommerce is a way that allows us to buy or sell products online with the help of the internet. It is very convenient for a buyer and a seller. It enables us to sell almost anything from anywhere.

There is a variety of platforms available to set up an online store or an eCommerce site. Some of the well-known platforms for starting your eCommerce stores can be Shopify, Bigcommerce, Woocommerce, Magento, Ravendel. Every platform has its advantages and limitations. It is up to your requirements that decide which platform you should choose.

It is a well-known Canadian brand. Shopify is a hosted solution, and it comes with a monthly subscription. Shopify provides you a 14 days free trial period. After that, if you wish to continue, you need to select from their paid plans, starting from $29/month, and you can have a fully functional online store of yours.
There are many paid themes & plugins available. To make your store looks more modern & stylish, you can buy a paid theme; there are many providers available.
If you want to add some extra features to your Shopify store, there are plugins available at an additional cost. As Shopify is a hosted solution, it is not always a case that you can get what you want. Shopify does have a limitation when it comes to customizing the site.
Bigcommerce is another hosted platform to create an online eCommerce store. Like Shopify, you can get beautiful themes for your Bigcommerce store as well, as there are many providers available.
Bigcommerce also offers a free trial, and then you can pay and get your online store. They offer different plans according to your needs, starting from Monthly $29.95, $79.95, $299.95 for standard, plus, and pro plans, respectively. They also have offers if one wants to subscribe to an annual plan.
WooCommerce is an open-source eCommerce plugin built for WordPress CMS. You can have an easily manageable online store with WooCommerce. There are hundreds of free & paid beautiful themes available to customize your online store’s look and feel. It is an entirely customizable platform, but you do need a web developer to do so.
WooCommerce provides flexible and secure payment options. Almost all payment gateway provider’s integration is available with WooCommerce, including Paypal, Stripe, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Amazon Pay.
Magento, which exclusively built for eCommerce, Comes with two options, the first one is open-source, and the second one is a premium/paid one.
Magento offers enhanced security and packed with many additional integrated capabilities to accelerate your sales. Magento Opensource is available free of charge to download. It is an open-source platform, which means free to use, and you can extend and configure the platform as per your needs. Magento has a vast range of extensions and themes and growing community support.
If you decide to create your online store with Magento opensource, you must need a developer & designer to install & configure it.
Magento Commerce is quite an expensive option, its starting prices from $22,000 per year if you’re using Magento 2.
Magento is still a popular eCommerce CMS, but it requires ongoing maintenance, a good hosting server, and a technical team if you want some customization.

It was an excellent experience for me to connect to the world of the web (internet). It was not only the connection to the internet world but also a link to the world in which we live. This connection also benefitted me in these uncertain times of COVID 19.
eCommerce helped me to work consistently. I also grew my business wast, even though my physical store was closed for more than two months.
